Shaktipat means shakti-giving. Shakti is the spiritual power that activates the release of strong prana which in turn awakens kundalini. There are two aspects of shaktipat initiation with Durga Ma: (1) receiving the transmission of shakti, and (2) knowing what to do with it.

(1) Shaktipat is sometimes said to be like lighting one candle with another candle. When your own shakti is ignited through shaktipat, you will want to know how to keep it burning.

(2) Surrender Meditation serves this purpose and is the means of natural and spontaneous spiritual transformation and evolution. Surrender Meditation is also called sahaja yoga (natural union), Natural Meditation, shaktipat kundalini yoga, shaktipat meditation, kundalini meditation, yoga meditation.

Shaktipat Intensive Schedule

Day One

Intensive Seminar 10:00 AM - 4 PM. Durga Ma presents information on Surrender Meditation and related subjects such as chakras, granthis, lokas, kundalini, cosmology, Patanjali's eight limbs of spiritual practice, stages of progress, and more.

Lunch, one and one-half hour.

Initiation 4:00 - 5:00 PM. Shaktipat diksha. Optional. Intensive participants only.
Initiates receive shaktipat directly from Durga Ma and are initiated into the practice of Surrender Meditation (SKY Meditation). There is no fee for this initiation.

Day Two

Intensive Seminar (continued) 10:00 AM - 3 PM. One hour lunch break.

Initiates Repeat Intensives Free

Durga Ma's initiates may repeat Intensives free of charge. Donations are requested and appreciated.

Late Registration

Persons wishing to attend an Intensive and who have not registered two weeks in advance may call 623-271-9380 to see if space is available.

Refunds

Your payment will be fully refunded (1) if the your Intensive is already fully booked, or (2) in the event of cancellation of your Intensive by Phoenix Metaphysical Institute.
