eight limbs, or steps, of spiritual practice lead
to liberation and special powers. They are described
in Patanjali's Yoga
Sutras.

of the attention and life energy, concentration, and
meditation as the means of attaining samadhi, direct
experience of Truth, direct knowledge, enlightenment.
